NEW for 2019. We will offer a Minecraft camp. Campers will learn to use the Python
programming language to create new worlds and to control Minecraft. I expect the
informaiton about the Minecraft camp to available very soon.


2019 Summer Camps

Intro Robotic Camps
June 17 - 21, 9 AM - 12 PM June 24 - 28, 1 PM - 4 PM
July 8 - 12, 9 AM - 12 PM
Each camper will use a LegoŽ Mindstorm™ robot kit to build a computer controlled robot. The campers will learn to program solutions to teach the robot to react to its environment. Campers will learn how to control the robot to avoid obstacles, find, pick up and carry objects, and even compete in a different competitions.  More

Advanced Robotic Camps
July 15 - 19, 9 AM - 12 PM July 22 - 26, 1 PM - 4 PM
The Advanced camp is for students who have done well in our introductory camp and are looking for more advanced challenges. Each camper in the Advanced camp will have a LegoŽ Mindstorms NXT™ robot. In response to requests, we have added an educational resource kit which will allow each camper to solve new and expanded challenges.  More

Alice Animation Camps

Alice is a computer program that makes creating a virtual world to tell a story or play a game easy.Drag-and-drop graphics make programming a snap for any age. Programming with Alice allows the camper to focus on the content and creativity of the story, which helps develop problem solving skills.   More

Processing Programming Camp
July 29 - August 2, 9 AM - 12 PM
Processing is a program environment based upon Java that allows the camper to create images, animations, and interactive programs. Processing was designed to make it easy to develop visually-oriented applications while learning the fundamentals of text-based computer programming. Students will learn to use the keyboard and mouse to make their applications interact with the user.  More

Android App Inventor Camp
July 29 - August 2, 1 PM - 4 PM
Android App Inventor is a visual, drag and drop web-based tool for building mobile applications for Android devices. Campers will be able to create user-interfaces by dragging components onto a screen. The first day campers will be creating user interfaces using components that allow the app’s user to enter text, click on button, or view an image, and then installing them on to actual Android devices. More
